This project explores the complexity of how we manage land, resources, and personal belongings. The images collected throughout this work illustrate, more or less directly, the human presence over time. Intuitively, I try to capture fragments of our everyday traces on the land and within so-called “private” spaces. I’m not necessarily looking to understand these spaces—I simply see and experience them. Whether ending up in a landfill, an eco-center, a vacant lot, or a flea market, all our unfinished projects eventually become rooted in this living earth or drift into the depths of water. For now, I’m simply trying to naïvely document these piles of objects and spaces as I encounter them.
